Job Summary

The IT Officer will oversee and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the seamless operation of technology systems and providing technical support to staff. Responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, implementing IT solutions, and upholding security protocols to protect the organization’s data.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Offer first-line assistance for hardware and software problems.
• Help employees with technical questions and troubleshooting.

System Management:

• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Install and configure software, hardware, and peripherals.

Network Administration:

• Manage network security and access controls.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Data Management:
• Oversee data backup and recovery processes.
• Ensure data integrity and security.

IT Security:

• Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments.

Documentation: –

• Keep detailed records of IT assets, configurations, and procedures.
• Prepare reports on IT system performance and incidents.

Collaboration:

• Work with other departments to identify their IT needs.
• Collaborate with external vendors for hardware and software purchases.

Training:

• Train staff on new software and technologies.
• Create user manuals and guidelines for IT systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in IT support or administration.
• Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
• Knowledge of IT security practices and data protection regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud services and remote work technologies.
• Familiarity with database management and system integration
