Who can apply

For the Officer Cadre, positions like Superintendent Route Commander, Route Commander or Deputy Route Commander, and Assistant Route Commander are open to holders of B.Sc, BA, or HND qualifications, along with professionals such as medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, medical laboratory scientists, lawyers, and engineers. Applicants in this category should generally fall between 18 and 35 years of age.
The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre is aimed at skilled tradespeople such as mechanics, computer operators, electricians, plumbers, tailors, motorcycle riders, and drivers. These applicants need the appropriate trade certificates and licences, and where the role involves driving articulated or low bed trucks, the age bracket runs from 26 to 40.
The Road Marshal Assistant Cadre is open to candidates with a minimum of relevant credit passes in subjects including English Language and Mathematics, giving school leavers a genuine shot at joining the Corps too.
Across every cadre, a few general conditions apply. You must be Nigerian by birth, single, computer literate, medically and physically fit, and free from any criminal record. Male applicants are expected to be at least 1.65 metres tall, while female applicants should be at least 1.58 metres. Tattoos are not permitted, pregnant applicants are advised not to apply at this time, and every candidate must use a personal, active email address and phone number throughout the process.
