“JAPA” has become the buzzword of our time, especially among experienced talents in industries like tech, arts and culture, education, health, and beyond. It’s not just a trend—it’s a reflection of ambition, a yearning for something more. But as I watched many embark on this journey, I began to wonder: What if this journey could be pursued in a more prestigious way? What if there were better routes than the conventional paths so many believe are their only options?

That thought stuck with me. And rather than let it fade, I decided to act on it. I reached out to Omotola Kuku, someone I deeply respect and admire. She’s a proud recipient of the UK Global Talent Visa, a stamp of excellence that says, “You’re not just going abroad—you’re recognized as exceptional.”

Omotola is also the former COO at Utiva Education, one of Africa’s leading ed-tech companies and one of my previous workplaces. She’s someone who truly understands what it means to break barriers and lead with purpose.

Together, we started working on something meaningful—a way to help talented individuals achieve their dreams through a recognized and prestigious route. Our goal is simple yet powerful: to guide aspiring talents toward securing endorsements for the UK Global Talent Visa. This isn’t just about helping people leave; it’s about helping them rise, helping them be seen and celebrated for their brilliance on a global stage.

This journey isn’t just personal to me; it’s about rewriting narratives, opening doors, and proving that there’s more than one way to achieve greatness. And as we help others take these bold steps, we’re showing the world that talent from Africa isn’t just seeking opportunity—it’s redefining it.
