A hybrid, full time opportunity at one of Africa’s fastest growing fintechs, no prior experience required, just strong communication skills and a genuine passion for helping people.

If you are a recent graduate still searching for that first real opportunity to kickstart your career, this one is worth your attention. LemFi, formerly known as Lemonade Finance, is currently hiring a Customer Support Associate in Lagos, and unlike many entry level listings that quietly expect years of experience anyway, this one genuinely welcomes fresh graduates.

LemFi has grown into one of the leading financial platforms serving the African diaspora, with a team of over 400 people spanning more than 20 countries, helping immigrants send money, hold multi currency accounts, and manage their finances without starting from zero in a new country. The company processes over a billion dollars in monthly transactions to more than 30 countries. Now they are looking to grow their Lagos based customer support team, and they want someone ready to learn and grow with them.

What The Role Involves

As a Customer Support Associate, you will be the first point of contact for LemFi’s customers, resolving queries on transfers, accounts, and products through chat, email, and other channels, quickly and with genuine empathy. You will own every issue from first contact through to resolution, escalating to the right teams when needed and following up so nothing falls through the cracks.

Beyond handling individual conversations, you will also help spot patterns in the questions and complaints coming in, flag them to your team lead, and suggest improvements that fix the root cause rather than just the symptom. You will use AI assisted tools and knowledge base resources to work efficiently, while applying your own judgment to make sure every response genuinely fits the customer’s situation.

This is a hybrid role, meaning you will split your time between in office and remote work, based in Lagos, and it is a full time position within LemFi’s Operations and Customer Support department.

Who Should Apply

LemFi has kept the entry requirements refreshingly accessible for this role. Here is what they are looking for.

  • An undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognised university, or a postgraduate qualification
  • Zero to two years of work experience, fresh graduates and those early in their careers are equally welcome
  • Exceptional written and spoken English, clear, concise, and warm
  • The kind of person who reads a problem properly before responding, and is genuinely bothered when a customer leaves without their issue solved
  • The ability to stay organised and accurate while handling multiple conversations at once, without letting quality slip
  • Comfort working with modern tools like Google Workspace and CRM platforms, along with the ability to pick up new systems quickly
  • A self driven, reliable working style, someone who can prioritise effectively and deliver quality work across multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and a genuinely customer obsessed mindset

Nice to have, though not required:

  • Prior exposure to a fintech, bank, or customer facing role, even briefly or through an internship
  • Familiarity with any ticketing or CRM platform
  • Fluency in French, Spanish, German, or another language spoken by LemFi’s customer base

If you have been struggling to find that first role that does not demand years of experience you simply do not have yet, this is the kind of opportunity worth taking seriously.

Why This Role Is Worth Considering

Beyond just being an entry point into the workforce, this role puts you inside a genuinely mission driven company. LemFi exists to make life easier for immigrants and the diaspora, people navigating multiple currencies, cross border payments, and financial systems that were not built with them in mind. Working in customer support here means being part of that mission directly, helping real people solve real problems with their money.

It is also a strong foundation for a career in fintech more broadly, customer support roles at fast growing companies like LemFi often open doors into operations, compliance, product, and other functions down the line.

Deadline

Applications are open until 27 July 2026 at 5:00 PM (GMT+1). Given how close that window is, it is worth submitting your application as early as possible rather than waiting until the last moment.

Final Word: Your First Big Opportunity Could Start Here

Breaking into a respected, fast growing fintech straight out of school is not easy, and opportunities that genuinely welcome fresh graduates are rare. If you have strong communication skills, a customer first mindset, and you are ready to learn on the job, this role gives you a real shot at starting your career somewhere that matters.

Do not let this window close without putting in your application.
