The Future Awards Africa Independent (TFAAi) has unveiled the jury and Independent Audit Committee (IAC) for its inaugural editions in Abia, Kano, Rivers and Oyo States, marking another milestone in its commitment to celebrating young changemakers making meaningful impact within their local communities.
Building on the legacy of The Future Awards Africa (TFAA), TFAAi was established to recognise and amplify local excellence by celebrating innovators, entrepreneurs, creatives, public servants, and community leaders whose work continues to shape lives and create lasting impact at the grassroots.
The credibility of The Future Awards Africa Independent lies in its rigorous and transparent selection process. Every nominee is assessed through multiple stages, beginning with the Local Organising Committee, followed by the Independent Audit Committee, before the final decisions are made by the jury members. This process ensures that every winner is selected solely on merit, impact, leadership, and integrity.
Speaking on the announcement, Executive Director of The Future Awards Africa, Ayodeji Razaq, said, “The Future Awards Africa Independent was created to recognise and spotlight extraordinary young people whose work is transforming communities but has not received the visibility it deserves. Our jury reflects the same values of excellence, credibility, and service, and their role is not only to select deserving winners but also to uphold the integrity of this platform.”
The jury for the inaugural edition includes Boye Adefila, Kemi Irinoye, Balogun Danjuma, Oluwajare Fola-Bolumole, and Charles Alade for Oyo State; Associate Professor Moronke Shukurat, Professor Amina Mustapha, Jameel Abdussalam Hajaj, and Bello Kano for Kano State; and Goodness Armstrong, Chinasa Imo Ude, Laiza Elizabeth Kalu, Chioma Ogbudimkpa, and Igwe Uguru for Abia State.
Reflecting on the responsibility of serving on the jury, Goodness Armstrong said, “Serving on this jury is an opportunity to honour young people who are creating lasting impact in their communities. Our responsibility is to assess every nominee with fairness and integrity while celebrating those who truly embody leadership, innovation, and legacy.”
Supporting the selection process is the Independent Audit Committee, which comprises Alfred Atiba, Ibrahim Oredola, Olugbenga Ogunbowale, Aanuoluwapo T. Oluyide, Adeleke Alex-Adedipe, and Abbyke Domina for Oyo State; Dr. Tijjani Ahmad, ACA, Dr. Muhammad Shamsudden, Rahanatu Ahmad, Badamasi Abdullahi, BDSP, and Dr. Maryam Liman for Kano State; and Daniel Chinagozi, Onyinye Ojiaku, Ugomdi Ogbonna, Chy Nwakanma, and Gloria Chibuike for Abia State.
