You must be in your final year of senior secondary school during the 2026/2027 academic year, or have graduated no earlier than June 2026, and you need to be starting your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027 specifically. If you are already enrolled in a post secondary program elsewhere, or planning to start one in January 2027, this particular scholarship is not open to you.

The Three Deadlines You Cannot Miss
This process runs on a tight sequence, and missing any one step knocks you out of the running entirely.
Your school nomination needs to happen by October 9, 2026. From there, you must apply for undergraduate admission to the University of Toronto through OUAC by October 16, 2026, since you will only receive your private Pearson Scholarship application link after your nomination is confirmed and your admission application is in. Once you receive that link, your completed scholarship application and all required documentation are due by November 6, 2026.
Miss the nomination window, and none of the later steps matter.
A Word of Caution
The University of Toronto has publicly warned students about fraudulent emails claiming to help with Pearson Scholarship applications. To be absolutely clear, the university does not work with agencies or paid “education agents” to recruit or nominate students for this scholarship. Nominations only happen through your actual secondary school, using the university’s official online process. If anyone asks you for money to secure a nomination or guarantee your acceptance, that is a scam, not a shortcut.
